We provide advocacy services to women and young girls who are facing or are victims of domestic and sexual violence and provide support services to help them cope with challenges. We tend to provide advocacy to women of all ages who are faced with discrimination of any inform including, wether at work or at a service center. we advocate for equal opportunities for women including economic and educational opportunities.
With the covid-19 Pandemic it became evident that women who identify as immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers or BIPOc Communities were disproportionately impacted. this shade a light to the need for more education and outreach about public health that are culturally and linguistically appropriate. Her Safety net provides Education and outreach to women with limited communication and comprehension skill in multiple lunges through videos, flyers, posters and through door to door outreach. we currently develop educational materials in this languages that address major health problems that are faced with our target population including Covid-19, Cancer Screening, Diabetics and Many more.
We work with women who are seeking entrepreneurship skills by provide them with essential skills through trainings and seminars and connecting them with essential programs and services that are designed to help them realize their entrepreneurial goal and dreams.
We provide Covid-19 testing to our immigrant communities at their homes or at our office location in our effort to reduce community transmission.
We provide free tutorial services to help school age children from poor families that cannot afford to pay for this services. we provide homework help to students at our center.
In an our effort to increase vaccination rates in Maine we partner with Local health providers, pharmacies and other community based organizations in hosting vaccination clinics and provide education and outreach in an attempt to fight vaccine hesitancy.
