About Us

Her Safety is a community based nonprofit organization that works with immigrant communities in Maine who are faced with many challenges in adapting to their new environment. The organization's main goal is to protect women of all ages from gender-based violence including domestic violence, sexual violence, and sexual trafficking.  To create awareness about these violent criminal activities, the organization also provides education and outreach about these topics in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner and in most spoken languages in Maine.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to advocate for women of all ages including immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and BIPOC communities who are victims of domestic and sexual violence. We uplift and support women by actively addressing the health and well-being needs of all disadvantaged and marginalized communities.

Our Vision

Our Mission

Our Mission

We strive to create opportunities for women of all ages and connect them to support services which allow them to flourish in our community. We accomplish this through programs that contribute to the personal, professional, health, and economic development of women, meeting their needs when they most need it.
